Well it's happened a few times now.

Maybe I'm too nice. Perhaps I should be up front with them and ask whether they're interested rather than listening to them tell me their life story, how nice they think my hair is, etc. And then find that when I ask for their number they're not chatting me up after all. Then there's the worry they might post threads about it on mildly popular music related internet messageboards.

Aaargh :(
