Satirists dislike two types of politicians: Those that are so boring they are impossible to parody, and those that are so unknowingly adept at parodying themselves that the satirists are redundant.

Clearly, Cameron, Osbourne and their gang of fraudsters are in the latter category. In a woefully inept and cringeworthy attempt to cash-in on jingoistic fervour inspired by the Olympics, the Tories chose gold-medal laden Sunday to announce with unironic pomposity that there will be a drive for growth preceded by a turnover of faceless ministers in a reshuffle. No plans, no substance, no truth, just shite.
