tell to me about how sometimes people know one thing about you and like it when they talk to you about that thing

and I have a for example here too. Like the example of this guy at work who that when he always calls me or if he talks to me asks me about how I’m enjoying my chillies at the moment. This he does because he came to say hello to me the first time at my desk, which is where I keep one of my bottles of chipotle Tobasco and this made him happier than he was at first. Yesterday I told him about the time the other day when I had a meal without chillies, because on Tuesday I made for dinner a roast dinner built up around a lamb rack because on the Monday before it in the morning I had thawed the freezer out and that made me take the lamb rack out of the freezer so that I needed to eat it. And I only had mint sauce but no chilli. He gossiped that it must have been a bland meal. He was wrong to do this, it was very tasty. I’ve not spoken to him about chillies since.
