Digital Radio going mental - Real life problems

hanshotfirst [Edit] [Delete] 15:48, 21 August '12

So we recently bought a DAB radio for the office at work and it keeps going fucking mental with digital distortion! Have 6 music on right now and Mark Radcliffe sounds like a robot!

Sometimes it will cut out and as it tries to pick up the signal again we get this awful distortion noise.

Our last radio was some old beat up piece of shit boom box that had been used for one too many decorating jobs and was covered in paint an only one of it's speakers worked so we got rid of it, at least it kept the signal!

Anybody have any idea what's causing this or how we can get around it? Is it the area we're in? Is it a cheap shit radio? (wasn't that cheap to be fair). Problem exists on all channels but BBC stations seem to be the worst.

Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope!
