cheap (but actually edible) recipes...

forzaborza [Edit] [Delete] 12:10, 17 August '12

a guy i've been working with (bit of a weird character) prides himself on not spending money - cycles to work (15 mile round trip - utterly crazy), takes his own alcohol to pubs, makes one massive pan of food once a week and doesn't eat anything else, other stuff that i think shows he might be slightly unbalanced upstairs.

i've been getting semi-sensible with what i spend on food of late, no more than £5 a day all in, for breakfeast, dinner, tea, and snacks, with around £1.50 per day of that going on what i actually eat at work, which i think's fair.

anyway, this chump still thinks it's mental that people spend a fiver a day on food. he says he eats two meals a day, and they each cost him 50p max. i think he's talking out of his arse (though he does basically just eat pasta with keptchup). i've promised him £50 cash reddies if he proves to me that he can make a different tasty, edible dish (just for himself, like) each work day for a month for under 50p.

my fifty nicker's safe as houses, innit?

if you don't think so, please tell me your <50p a head (even <£1 a head) recipes below (please fator in the costs of all ingredients including spices, sauces, condiments, etc, we don't all have cupboards full of this sort of shite).

cheers.
