the first one is smoothing of weekly order cycles. apparently this is worth between £100k and £200k per year. i asked my boss for the detail so i can summarise it all in one place and it turns out that he has plucked those numbers out of thin air. "it's up to you to prove it". incredible.

i feel like this is one of those situations where i am supposed to be really stressed out but it has dawned on me that I now have license to just make numbers up! this is incredible! it is even more amazing because i know i won't be here at the end of the year. how liberating is that. it's not that i don't want to do a good job, it's that everything here is based on guess work. which is brilliant!
