Help me solve an argument

in_limbo [Edit] [Delete] 22:13, 25 July '12

I got a bit cheesed off with a friend for 'like'-ing and having a bit of a laugh over the following picture on Facebook:

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=495481620477585&set=a.435249956500752.115763.284164184942664&type=1&theater

Basically, I called her and all of her friends racist, who proceeded to tell me in no uncertain terms to get off my high horse. What surprised me is that not one of them shared my conviction that the picture was pretty bad. They're a fair bit younger than me and seemed to be under the impression that a bit of casual racism is actually OK, even for something as done to death as 'all oriental people look the same'.

Am I just being a twat, or was I right to pull them up over it?
