I got a new kitten.

My cat is just over a year old. Since i brought the kitten into the house yesterday the cat has been a bit put out. Hissing at her, and me, and growling a bit.

How do i do this? im trying to give my cat loads of love but at the same time love the kitten enough so it's not scared. Last night i kept the kitten in the bedroom with a little litter tray and food.

Does all this die down after a while or will my cat hate me forever?

Should i keep them separated or let them mingle?
