So, I think one of my pals has played the race card on me.
The set up - I get a lift with this guy to football and although he drives RIGHT PAST my house, he insists I pay him petrol (£3)
Anyway, I made a throwaway comment about this not being Nigeria and it's not all about getting a few quid here or there. got something back about 'letting that one slide' or some shit. and now radio silence.
Bottom line - I think he thinks I'm a racist, or at the very least, an absolute cunt.
what do you reckon?
As an aside, when I'm in the car or hanging out with these guys, their always telling anecdotes of the crazy shit they got up to in Lagos - I was basically just reinforcing what they had already said in my presence.
