This Pitchfork article on the guy from Passion Pit's depression

http://pitchfork.com/features/cover-story/8893-rite-of-passion/

It's a huge 'cover feature' that I've never seen p4k do before. I don't really want to talk about his crappy music so I thought I'd put it here and ask what people think about the content regarding his mental health. These threads always seem to go well...

I really really really don't want to think he's attention seeking. It's obviously incredibly sad. I just find it weird that there's been a huge article on one of the biggest online music publications in the world where a guy goes 'oh yeah I was going to kill myself but then I didn't'.

Dunno what my point is. I think mainly I don't believe that people don't want to talk about mental health issues these days. I think it's more that EVERYONE thinks they're depressed and that means that people who are really struggling are worried that people will just kind of ignore them. I'm not sure how much this article helps that though. Dunno. Just looking for other people's opinions I guess.
