How well do you think the human race is doing?

Since we don’t have any other alien civilizations/life forms that we can accurately measure ourselves against it is hard to tell whether or not we are hitting the targets we should be.

We celebrate the scientific/medical/cultural progress we’ve made, but what if we are actually reaching these milestones at an incredibly sluggish pace compared to other rival planets elsewhere in the universe?

Do you reckon we are in the top tier of life forms or middling/underachieving?
