Is it always so hard to get a game of squash?

michael_w [Edit] [Delete] 12:59, 15 June '12

my friend joined a virgin active in his area (bit to far for me to go more than once a week seeing as i don't drive) and has been taking me for games of squash recently

i've been getting quite into, so i've been looking into places a bit more local for myself and another friend who has been getting into it recently...

but it doesn't seem like you're able to play without joining the entire gym. i just want to rock up and play a game a squash a few times a week....not too fussed about the body impact classes or the pool, etc....so i don't really want to pay 40 quid a month for the next 12 months.

is it always like this? have gyms up and down the country got a hold on all the squash courts?

p.s. squash eh? still think tennis is better. seems a lot easier to get lucky in squash. but i am fond of the intense workout that squash provides.
