My main issue with this championships is the gf. She has a high intolerance for me watching football. If it was down to her I'd basically watch the England games only, and even those only if they clashed with literally no other possible social engagement.

I wasn't going out with her at the time of the last World Cup - this is our first major international tournament together. When we first met she said that she watched the whole World Cup (I now realise this meant she watched about 4 games), but she is dead against me watching as much football as I want to, which is basically all of it.

How can you want to sit there watching football every day? How can you want to watch Holland vs Germany rather than go to my friend's house for dinner? How can you want to not go to Bristol for the weekend when England aren't even playing? You can't seriously not come with me to Sark Folk Festival because of the Euro 2012 final can you?

Thankfully I managed to convince her that Sark Folk Festival was a pile of shit, but have no coping strategy for the other two questions, or a multitude of other questions designed to deprive me of my rights.
