Two decent enough games last night. England v France was ok, good enough result but pretty boring containment football. Not much guile up front or midfield, a bit Greece like but pretty effective. Thought the defence played well, Lescott attacked the cross goal like a pissed up salmon, Joe Hart made some very good saves but looked shaky sometimes and could have perhaps done better with the Nasri goal. A bit toothless but solid. What a combination.

The Ukraine Sweden match was the one predicted as being the duller of the two but the 2nd half was fantastic, really enjoyed it. The Ukraine left mid looked tasty.

The bloke in the black mask appearing for half a second like Pipes in Ghostwatch was very strange and a little unnerving.
