Bus fares...

urbanfox [Edit] [Delete] 07:50, 9 June '12

Feeling somewhat knackered after work this morning, I decided to come back by bus.

At this time of the morning, it means catching two busses, as a result I have had to part with £1.90 twice (well, I paid for a day ticket which is the same as two singles).

If I finished work an hour later, another bus starts running which would allow me to do the same journey, over the exact same route, for just £1.90...

If this journey took place by train, as an example, I would pay once - regardless of any changes.

Why do you have to pay each time you board a bus? A more sensible idea would be that a ticket is valid for <x amount of time> to allow you to complete your entire journey.

(great thread)
