Trypophobia : an irrational fear of holes

Mick_Squalor [Edit] [Delete] 20:23, 23 May '12

Does anyone here suffer (i don't think suffer is the right word) from this?

It's the fear of holes. But not just any holes. It seems to me to be specifically clusters of them, E.G Honeycomb or the top of a Microphone, or Spongecake

I first became aware of it after watching Children In Need when i was young. I think they were addressing the Sri Lankan Killing Fields. One lady said she was shot through the walls of her house, and remained wounded, but alive, face down for days.

She said that Bot Flies started to make their homes in her skin.

Then a picture was shown. That's when my Trypophobia began.

It's not that bad for me really, i dont get mega freaked out. I just fell the need to destroy the hole structure.

Do you have any phobias?
