She came back around midnight, having found a girl's purse. We looked inside it for a number to call and found some money along with all her cards and cheques etc. We called a number we found in there and I woke up her boyfriend, who was pretty peturbed to be answering his gf's phone to a gravel-voiced MAN at all hours.

Anyway, we rapped and he came round to get it. He was absoloutley made up. He said his girlfriend would be. It's her little sister's first communion in the morning and it would have really put a dampener on things. Johanna was happy to have done a nice thing and I was quietly pleased that the little argument had been glossed over with something quite sweet.

Life so rarely provides these perfect book-ends that I thought I'd mention it.
