i watched the film 'Scarecrow' last night...

forzaborza [Edit] [Delete] 12:33, 4 May '12

aka the 1973 road movie with Alvin Pacino and Eugene Hackman.

Almost turned it off after the first ten minutes. I wasn't sure about the castings, and found both characters a bit annoying, but BOY am i glad i didn't. What a film.

Just a great tale of friendship, really. Two vulnerable and unhinged lost souls who ultimately become completely reliant on eachother. The bits where they fall out in the spike, then the ending, man, heartbreaking stuff.

Loved some of the boozed up scenes with Hackman, as well, particularly the one later on. Splendid.

Charming. Engaging. Obviously underrated going off reviews i've subqequently read. Honestly think it's one of the best films i've ever seen.

More superlatives.
