Are they a bit annoying girls?

I suspect they are. And they seem to tear quite easily, meaning I guess you get through a lot of pairs at quite an expense. Can you recycle them or do anything with them post-tear?

Ballet dancers and superheroes wear them too, don't they? Which superhero do you think sports them the best?

You don't see criminals sporting them as headgear so much either, do you? Or fan belt sales in decline.
