It's the engine and technological advance that shaped the way the world is today. But do you know how it works, even at a base level?

I am wondering about the level of understanding people have about certain things that are taken for granted - like do you know how the internet works? Or how electricity is made?

This isn't a holier than thou thing, but just curious if anyone has the drive to understand how things work rather than just use them...
