I just found out that my downstairs neighbor wrote an email to our landlord complaining about me because I got home late last night.

I met this woman when I moved in and she seemed really nice. She complained that my heater was making noise (I couldn't hear it in my apartment but apparently it was really loud in hers), so I contacted the landlord and a heating repair company came out twice to inspect the unit. One piece was loose so they replaced it and it seemed to solve the problem.

Since then, she complains every time I have friends over late. She'll call me at 1am, once even 4am, to complain that we're too loud (just talking in normal voices!). Occasionally, she still complains that the heater makes too much noise.

Basically, I don't know what to do. Advice please, DiS? I realize it's really late over there at the moment, so perhaps this can be a good morning thread.
