I've not been paid my Job Seekers Allowance (boring thread but help would be nice)

OvertakenByTractors [Edit] [Delete] 18:13, 13 April '12

basically what happened was I submitted the application form online for the first time, received a text the next evening saying my appointment had been during that same day (?!) so decided to do the application form again a couple of days later. That went fine, I signed my agreement and have been to two appointments with my personal adviser since. However both times she's looked on her system to sign me on but has said that my claim is closed. I've called them and they've said this is to do with the fact that I didn't show up to my original appointment. FUCKING EXASPERATING. I've been 3 weeks now without seeing a penny. Should I be able to get them to make up for the three weeks and pay me one big lump sum? How?

I think basically what I'm asking is aren't I entitled to my allowance from the date I signed the agreement?
