Further to that really boring thread about trains.

It got me thinking about how much extra money I have to pay because I'm not some deathly dull anal-retentive.

I mean yes you CAN book train journeys in advance and save money, but how does anyone know where they want to be 3 months in advance? And even if they do... I dunno... you know?

And yes shopping around can get you a better mobile tarrif. But do I really want to be the sort of person who shops around for a better mobile tarrif? No.

Just shopping around generally.

Not sure that I'm articulating this very well. I suspect not.

It just doesn't seem RIGHT OR FARE that people like me are effectively subsidising cheap fares for people like [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]eoGB.
