1. Bad guys drinking milk.
I think milk drinking should be added to the cannon of badguy tropes alongside listening to classical music/collecting things. I reckon its got something to do with milk being associated with innocence and the pastoral, what do you think?

2. People telling a joke which isn't meant to be funny.
You know, usually happens at a pretty serious point in the flick, usually between a couple or something. Somebody will say "I know this old joke..." then tell a really not funny joke which purports to having something to do with the subtext of the scene/film, usually followed by the other character letting out one stifled laugh then they both smile warmly at each other and go their separate ways. I don't like this one because I guess people take it for granted that its meaningful, then you sit there feeling dumb cos you can't work it out when really its just a lazy shortcut to make something seem profund
