A lot of people are apparently getting really upset because key characters in the Hunger Games are played by black actors, even though the book perfectly allows, and even suggests that the characters are black.

I remember there was a big debate on here when it was suggested that Idris Elba may play Thor (he ended up as another Norse god, a lot were still upset), and I just don't get it. If race is not an issue for the character, why should it be an issue in casting?
