none of the above for me, but my ear wax is quite potent.

i clean them out monthly, but whenever i need to place a finger in my ear for whatever reason i always inevitably have a little sniff afterwards, accidentally rub a little on my nose and it's hard to get rid of then, ruins my day. even warm water and soap doesn't work, you've just got to ride it out for the rest of the day.
