Thomas Sankara - a revolutionary as good as ghandi and jesus?

creakyknees [Edit] [Delete] 12:46, 22 February '12

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Sankara

why did the UN not give this guy all the backing they could?

why is he not lauded and revered and talked about?

but please read the whole article on him, I'd given up on all heroes, then I find this guy.......If only, If only the un had approved so much that it pressured the other countries into not being antagonistic towards this idealism, that looked to be working (unlike the soviets his land reforms increased wheat production 3 fold.)

equality of rights and opportunity for all
ecological
medical services for all
education for all
food for all
seemed to be his genuine and undisputed aims

The guy didnt even have his picture displayed anywhere, when he died he only had a handful of guitars and motorbikes and a broken fridge
