Your tips to living a longer and healthier life.

Now this probably wont be the best place to put this, because a lot of you smoke and a lot of you drink and a fair few of you do naughty things.

I read a news story today about the 104 year old guy thought to be the eldest new British citizen. He said the key to a long life is not being stressed and to stay happy. Sure I can take this, but after some research I found a few conflicting arguments. Apparently the young, care free people are happy go lucky with their health as they think it will all be alright in the future [citaction needed].

Also I found that general fitness rather than things like BMI help reduce the risk of things like cancer and heart disease.

I'd put it into a list:

- Don't smoke
- Don't do drugs
- Drink in moderation
- Eat a balanced diet (occasional treats are fine)
- Exercise regularly
- Drink milk everyday
- Work hard and well, but don't get too stressed
- Overcome stress (apparently if you overcome stress and realise a 'new you' it can improve things dramatically)

What do you/would you do to increase longevity?
