'The Bumper Book of Everything' I think it was, with a whole chapter on how technology would revolutionise our lives in the 21st Century - which, obviously, it has. But not really as far as transport goes.

There's no modes of transport that would surprise someone time-travelling from the 1960's (except the whole time-travel thing.) Cars still run on petrol, Concorde remains the height of aviation,
commuters don't leap about on carbon-fibre springs, the segway is only used by Gob and policemen in totalitarian countries, nothing hovers whatsoever, amphibious vehicles are confined to Liverpool's Yellow Duckmarine tour, the Monowheel is sadly unavailable on Amazon (http://www.diseno-art.com/images/wheel_surf.jpg), there's no sit-down and pedal carbon-fibre pod things and certainly no jetpacks.
