Music Social More…

being too polite to end conversations

fitzcarraldo [Edit] [Delete] 11:33, 19 January '12

for approximately the last 15 minutes i've had to listen to a colleague and a client attempting to find a polite way to end a conversation

this resulted in many awkward pauses, polite giggles but no one actually taking that final step of ending the conversation/walking away

i often get this when bumping into an acquaintance in the pub, where you almost feel trapped into talking shite/making smalltalk rather than appearing rude as opposed to in the street whereby you can either keep walking with a polite nod or claim to be in a rush to get somewhere else

i'm about 5 seconds away from kicking them both in the tits and throwing the client out, so how do YOU bring an end to such awful social situations?
