Just finished watching the season 2 finale. Pretty brave way to end it all, huh? I liked it. Brave is good. Plus I'm not sure Michael Pitt is that great an actor. Does the whole understated brooding thing well enough, but when he has to portray genuine emotion - like when he tried to kill his mum in the penultimate episode - then he's really quite weak. Weird decision, though, to reveal he fucked his mum then kill him off almost immediately afterwards. The signs of it had been there throughout, but they could have really racheted up the tension after showing it had actually been consummated.

I don't like the direction they've apparently decided to take Nucky, i.e. away from the anti-hero route and towards being a conventional villain. Also, I hope there's more of Esther Randolph to come, because so hot <3
