In yesterday's news, Benoit Assou-Ekotto stars as himself with a goal and assist in a now regulation 2-0 Spurs victory over Everton, who might soon start being called NEVERton due to their insistence of never doing anything going forward. Your goalkeeper can't score every week you know. They might be signing Darron Gibson though so everything is OK. In other news Spurs vs. Everton news, Adebayor's creator aligns him slightly wrong. Sure he'll be back shinning in goals on Saturday against Wolves, where Spurs could go level on points at the top of the league. Crazy days.

Liverpool and Manchester City play out a drab Rumbelows Cup semi final first leg at the Etihad $tadium . Liverpool win 1-0 thanks to a Steven Gerrard spot kick after Robbie Savic mistakes Agger's knee for the ball. Gerrard goes on to basically call Mancini a cunt in the post match interview after Glen Johnson probably intends to destroy someone or other's career but completely misses. Bring on the second leg. Yawn.

In fantasy football I miss out on changing my team due to either the site fucking up, or them implementing rather stupid times for getting stuff done after new year. Potentially miss out on about 40 points, but somehow retain 3rd place in the DiS league in touching distance of the top. Vamos is among the chasing pack who have made up ground. No idea who anyone else is in the top 20. Reveal yourselves?

In transfer news, Real Madrid are interested in Carlton Cole, and David Platt signs for Sampdoria, probably. I'll leave this to transfer man.
