Do any other cinema goers hate this time of year?

vamos [Edit] [Delete] 09:19, 11 January '12

I *know* that technically we should all love it as it's OSCAR season, but God most of these films are terrible, aren't they?

When I think of some of the utter dross that's tried to win an award by focusing on the Holocaust / racial tension / sex addiction / cowboy-era / misreading of another culture my skin crawls.

I'LL NEVER GET THOSE 2 HOURS THAT IT TOOK TO WATCH 'THE LAST SAMURAI' BACK YOU FUCKS.

Does anyone else feel like this? I'm not a big lover of blockbusters either, but seeing the words 'From the director who bought you About Schmidt and Sideways' strikes fear into my heart.

I've never even seen 'Crash' or 'Shame', but I already know I hate them.

I bet you indie lot love it, don't you? Eh?
