Came out of nowhere - the whole thing felt surreal. poor critter had a broken leg, my car has a busted front bumper with fur sticking out of it and I've got a horrible feeling that the radiator's scuppered too. Another driver stopped thankfully and we managed to haul the poor beast into the back of a range rover owned by a lady who said she was an animal warden and that she would take it to the local veterinary clinic...I took her details just in case she is actually going to be tucking into venison steaks instead.

Anyway, I guess I claim all the damage on the insurance? Bye bye no claims bonus. It was one of those situations where I had absolutely no idea what I was supposed to do - call the police? (I did) Call the RSPCA? Manfully wring the animal's neck? Skin it?
