Could be interesting. I see the novel and the film as two totally separate entities, the latter being more a vehicle for Bale's abilities as a character actor rather than a faithful adaptation of the world Ellis creates.

It'll struggle though, a lot of people LOVE that film and wouldn't be able to imagine anyone else as Bateman (especially if they've not read the book)
