What genuinely offends you?

the_bread_museum [Edit] [Delete] 23:10, 8 December '11

I saw a comedian on the TV make a really good point about people taking offence at stuff.

Can't remember exactly how he put it, but it was essentially - "You don't end up in hospital if someone offends you, so just deal with it."

It got me thinking. I can only remember two times when I felt genuinely offended.

Once when I was a barman and I pulled a bloke up on his manners. He started calling me a southern cunt (I'm from Nottingham). Then his mate came over and said to him "let it go, he's not worth it."

Don't know why, but I didn't like being dismissed as "not worth it".

The other time was when a client accused me of "cutting corners" on a job.

Other than that, I can't really think of anything that has offended me.
