NFL thread got me thinking about this.

My favourite is Plaxico Burress, wide receiver for the NY Giants. Took an illegal handgun to a club and somehow shot himself in the thigh, thereby ending up with a 2 year jail sentence and negating has enormous NFL contract. Smooth move. Also, he seems to be named after a plastics manufacturer.
