Taking a year out of uni & financial implications

PocketMouse [Edit] [Delete] 11:59, 28 November '11

I'm struggling to find information online about what happens about finance? I assume that the the remaining payments get canceled. Are you entitled to any kind of financial support at all? And has anyone had any problems with going back? I might want to repeat a term, so would I have to pay for that? But get student loan as normal for the terms I haven't taken? I don't know if there's any point taking the year out, if it means that I won't be able to afford to return AND won't be able to get any financial support over the next few months.

Essentially, does anyone here have any kind of experience with the financial implications of taking a year out of university? I could have just left it at the title, really...
