Incredible episode last night, one of the finest wildlife docs i can remember. The polar seasons came full circle last night and the yearly survival stories of our favourite snow-dwellers was complete.

That wolf/bison footage was breathtaking; the desperation of the female wolf was pretty intense. The male wolf clearly wasn't that hungry.

The ENTIRE spectacled eider population gambling the species' future on that bit of water not freezing over; the common eider freezing to death as if to emphasise the stupidity of that strategy.
