Anyone managed to do this in the past/know anything about it? We've got a family of stray kittens (that have now had more kittens) living in our yard. The last tenants said they'd been there a while. We've got a bit of a mouse problem in the house, and we'd really love a cat.

We've managed to get one or two of them inside into the kitchen, given them milk and cheese, and they seem to be getting fairly comfortable in our presence, but won't let us touch them/go too near them without jumping back.

I know there's charities who help pay for inoculations and spaying and the like, so we're thinking this might be a nice thing to do.

Anyway - If anyone knows the best way to befriend a feral cat, let me know yo.
