Extinctions

Reckoning [Edit] [Delete] 12:37, 16 November '11

Extinctions really bother me; the whole concept of removing a species from the earth FOREVER is something that i find incredibly depressing, yet its something which will increase in regularity.

What do you think? Are you content with it being part of man's competitive advantage over everything else, and 'just part of nature', or does it make you hang your head in shame on behalf of the human race?

Does it bother you at all? If not, why not?

Some 'recently' extinct animals:
Chinese River Dolphin

Western Black Rhino

Caribbean Monk Seal

Three tiger sub-species

Countless other less charismatic flora and fauna.

I appreciate this isn't a patch on the 'masturbating at work' thread, but humour me godammit. Happy wednesday!
