Solve a moral dilemma for me

LordLuciusBanter [Edit] [Delete] 16:11, 10 November '11

So as you may know, I was in hospital for a few weeks. Am at home now, but have to go in once a day as I'm having IV antibiotics and blood tests done to check they're working.

They have signed me off sick from work until the 18th November as they don't want me to get stressed and also I have a cannula in my hand which would be pretty dangerous to go traipsing into central London with.

However, I am supposed to be going to a wedding tomorrow. Aside from being tired and permanently having a needle in my hand, I'm ok.

BUT

Since the system has gotten to me, I feel supremely guilty going to a wedding when I'm signed off sick from work. It's only 10 minutes down the road, and I can't drink anyway, but I dunno. I feel like a benefit cheat or something. Am I ok to go?

Was also angling with the nurses to take it out tomorrow as I've had it in 5 days. Visions of someone drunkenly smashing into me and ripping the cannula out and blood spraying everywhere
