Train misery (miss football-centric)

stabby3 [Edit] [Delete] 18:22, 4 November '11

Was all excited about my first home game of the season at Hillsborough. Booked the train tickets months ago and got a really good deal on first class tickets. I was very excited.

Then the top of the card I used to purchase the tickets snapped off. I haven't tested the card yet, but I'm pretty sure it can't be used. It's snapped horizontally across the top so the black metallic strip is broken in half.

I have all the confirmation and payment details, identification and the card used to make the purchase. But I can't collect the tickets if the card doesn't work.

What are the chances of a person working for East Midland trains printing me my tickets with all the details I have? I reckon, slim and a walk up ticket will be took expensive. I've tried calling customer services and they just passed me around 3 different numbers until I got back to where I stared.

I'm really gutted. :(
