I don't think there's anything that gets peoples' backs up as much as a debate about how good different comedians are. Every comedy thread on here will get a tonne of replies with people trying to establish whether or not Jimmy Carr is funny. People get more worked up about Michael McIntyre and Stewart Lee than they do about Radiohead.

Also, I was making chit-chat with a friend of a friend I hadn't met before recently, and he said to me 'So, what kind of comedy are you in too?' This is a new development, isn't it?
