I just popped to the shop for a ginger beer and some chocolate. I settled on a Frys Orange Cream (controversial choice, I know) only to find on opening it that it was smashed up. The hassle of wrestling with it in that sticky, frustrating state was nowhere near outweighed by the enjoyment gained from eating it.

Also, for my pay-day treat I decided to retire my trusty Eastpak rucksack which has served me well since I was 15 and replace it with a good classy, manly satchel/messenger bag. Spent reasonable money on one online only to find that it looks like a fairly large leather handbag, and I'm not secure enough in other peoples' notions of my sexuality to wear it with confidence.

What minor disappointments have you suffered recently?
