Music Social More…

A thread combining two social board staples: issues of gender equality and cricket

So. Imagine in a few years time a world in which there is no decent English spinner. This may seem like a far fetched idea in the Swann era, but those of you who remember the pre-Panesar world will remember what this feels like.

Now. Imagine that at the same time the England Ladies' team sees the emergence of an really talented spinner. She gives the ball a real rip and has flight, guile etc etc etc.

In this combination of circumstances would/could England (men) give her a run in the test side? If not, what would prevent them:
-laws of the game?
-general prejudice?
-lack of changing facilities?

P.s. 88 all out against West Indies B. Yikes.
