Did anyone have to go on these during the summer holidays, before you're old enough to just stay at home?

What are your memories?

I hated them, SO much.

Never had any mates there, and in fact was borderline bullied by the older kids, who had an absolute monopoly on the decent activities (like Master System, pool table, football etc) and I was never allowed to play.

Basically just sat there on my own for 6 hours until mum came to pick me up. It was either that or spend the day playing Twister with the kid who was raised by his grandparents..

Some kids/friends at my school had rich parents who paid for them to go on the high-end adventure day-camps where they basically did an amazing activity every day (like go-karting, archery, quad biking). Not me though. Although we went to the local swimming centre once or twice..

Bad times.
