So aside from the fact he still owes me expenses and never paid me overtime he said he would, he never got me a P45 when I left and told me he would but it never materialised. Anyway, I asked the tax office to see what I was due back from not working a full year last year and I had a letter to pretty much say I'd only earned one months salary instead of the six I was there. I told them they must have it wrong so they said ask my old boss to get me a P45 and to write to them even if he couldn't with his name and address.

So, I sent him a message cos that company is closed now (apparently) to ask what address they could write to him just for him to prove to them I worked there for longer and he's refusing to give me an address. Now I've really pushed him for it and he's given me an old address that I'm pretty sure no one lives at anymore, he's obviously avoiding them for a reason but this is just about my own tax nothing to do with him.
