so a publisher said they like my idea for a book but as they're a university press and my idea needs a lot of illustration they'd expect me to find funding myself. Around £8k. The arts council have told me they're unlikely to fund a non-fiction (but I'm still going to apply anyway) and I still need to approach a few more publishers who might not ask for funding but yeah, who provides funding for that kind of thing?
