The US remake of The Killing ends on Channel 4 tonight. Admittedly I'm only four episodes into the original Danish series (recently acquired on DVD, you see, and I'm liking it a lot), but I think the US version is a pretty brilliant television show and honestly can't see any reason to like it beyond either a) not liking the original either, b) not liking remakes on principle or c) being an indie bellend.

Which brings me to my wider topic ... Which remakes, of either films or TV shows, have you liked? Have you liked any of them more than the original? Maybe to the extent where you actively disliked the original?
